Bachelor of Information and Communication Technology

Bachelor of Information and Communication Technology (BICT) is the utmost demanding professional program of the new generation. BICT is a four years undergraduate honors degree program with a specialization in Software Engineering. It develops competent students with skills to create innovative solutions for the digital world.

We instill intellect into students considering future demands, business requirements, career perspectives, and features of programming languages through rigorous training and project-based add-ons of global standards each semester.

The BICT program delivers in-depth academic knowledge and exercises for skills in Software Engineering based on Hands-on training.  The course design incorporates a learning environment to boost practical skills; not just domain skills, our graduates have in-depth 360-degree skills. BICT graduates may choose to be an entrepreneur or work in world-class organizations in promising areas of ICT. Globally human resource demand in these areas is increasing rapidly, and so is the remuneration, as graduates are being more skilled, competent, and innovative.

Learning in BICT Software Engineering

Software Engineering is the methodical discipline of designing, developing, and maintaining software systems using engineering principles. It involves creating reliable, efficient software solutions that meet user needs through structured processes and methodologies. In a world driven by innovation and digital transformation, software engineering stands as the cornerstone of technological progress. This discipline entails the intricate art of designing, developing, and maintaining software systems that power our modern lives. As the digital landscape evolves globally, the realm of software engineering in Nepal has grown significantly, contributing to technological advancements and creating a surge of opportunities for aspiring engineers.

At Virinchi College, the focus on software engineering is channeled through the Bachelor of Information Communication Technology (BICT) program. This program equips students with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills in software engineering, covering essential aspects such as software development, coding, testing, quality assurance, agile methodology, software integration and implementation. Virinchi's BICT curriculum ensures that students gain a strong foundation in software engineering principles, enabling them to excel in designing and creating innovative software solutions.

Attributes of Virinchi BICT

Here are the six virtues Virinchi BICT offers and gives you that extra edge over the rest. BICT graduates will create unbelievable solutions to complex human needs.

Virinchians are able to work in detail during the designing, programming, testing, making secured, distributing and implementing process, just what it is required to meet stringent deadlines.

Virinchians are well acquainted with all aspects of domain skills (programming languages) and their scope, emerging technologies and soft skills. They are thus able to develop effective software with efficiency.

Understanding the concept is the base. The foundation for Virinchians are strong to innovate ICT solutions for growing needs. They learn to identify problems and think innovative solutions benefiting mankind.

BICT

Virinchi BICT students are also able to reach out to those customers for the solutions they can offer. They know well what they want.

Virinchians are able to reach out to those customers for the solutions whom they can offer. They understand the requirement and create market needs.

Virinchians are able to comprehend customer needs and develop software that match and even exceed the need and expectancy.

Developing a software solution is one thing and making it effective is another. Virinchians know the difference and can develop innovative solutions.
