Mastering Business Etiquette and Public Speaking Workshop for Teach To Learn Trainers

On January 29, 2024, Virinchi College has organised a comprehensive workshop on business etiquette and public speaking, in collaboration with Skill Square. The enthusiastic students of BICT from different semesters were the target audience. The purpose of the workshop was to strengthen these students' basic skills necessary for becoming effective trainers under the Teach to Learn program.

The workshop, which focused on business etiquette and personality development, emphasized the importance of first impressions and professional conduct during a training session, was facilitated by Mr. Neeraj Pradhan.  The seminar provided valuable insight into the nuances of communication, both verbal and nonverbal, as well as training for students to use confidence tools in professional settings.

In order to improve communication skills, an extensive part of the workshop has been devoted. Students delved into effective verbal communication, active listening techniques, coordination and the art of asking insightful questions. Participants were given the opportunity to put their newfound skills into practice, fostering a dynamic and interactive learning environment, through real world scenarios, storytelling and role playing. Mr. Nikhil Shakya was the facilitator for this session.

The  workshop also provided a in depth exploration of public speaking fundamentals. Recognizing the importance of effective public speaking, students learned techniques to overcome anxiety, structure presentations, and captivate audiences. Impromptu speaking exercises allowed them to develop spontaneity and articulate ideas with clarity.

In conclusion,  participants were encouraged to reflect on the key takeaways from the workshop. The facilitators emphasized the applicability of the acquired skills in the professional world and provided additional resources for continued learning.
